Function Description

UCS Normal to Plane

Create a UCS by defining a plane that will be normal to its Z axis.

DieTip CS

Create a DieTip CS (Coordinate System) on a forming shape. The DieTip CS is the master UCS for a forming shape part. The positioning of the parts in the forming shape assembly is defined according to this UCS.

Die Skin

Create a skin (with no thickness) from an object. This enables clear and easy analysis of operations in the system.

Blank

Create or edit the blank for the electrode, using finite element analysis (FEA).

2D Addendum

Create an offset path to a blanked part to add extra material around the perimeter.

Nesting

This group of functions enables you to place the blank forming shapes into the strip and organize them in a layout manner. Using this option you can control the utilization of the strip by arranging the blanks in the most efficient way.

The following optionsoptions are displayed.

Strip Dimension

Define the dimensions of the strip. This includes the strip width, margins, start margin, and number of steps. This function is only active if Nesting has been created.

Assign Forming

This function provides a method to efficiently define the various Forming Operations including single axis bending, multi axis forming, ribs, embosses, extrusions, darts, gussets, and more.

Assign Restrike & Cams

This function provides a method to define various Restrike and CAM Operations, such as single axis restriking, multi axis restriking, flattening, coining, and CAM forms, in an efficient manner.

Assign Cutting

This function provides a method to efficiently estimate the various Cutting Operations.

Strip Sketcher

Create a sketch for the carrier.

Punch Definition

This function provides a method to efficiently define the various Blanking Punches that will Define the Blank Shape.

Estimate

Use this function to submit the collected data to the online estimation engine.
