Create a sketch for the carrier. The Sketcher is opened and the sketch features of the carrier are automatically displayed. The function allows you to create and relocate trimming punches, carriers, and pilots while visualizing the impact of each cut operation on the remaining strip, and to specify a single part to produce a truncated strip layout - You can also create an identical mirror of the part.
The Cimatron Sketcher is the graphic environment used to create 2D parametric geometry. This geometry is sketched on a 2D plane which is defined by the strip. The Sketcher Toolbar is displayed and you can start sketching on the selected plane.
The geometry is sketched on a 2D plane in the Sketcher. The Sketcher plane is automatically defined. The Sketcher Toolbar is displayed and you can start sketching on the selected plane.
Notes:
If you enter the Sketcher and then press <exit><exit> when you are prompted to define a plane, the XY plane of the part UCS is automatically selected as the Sketcher Plane.
You can select a face or plane, and then enter the Sketcher. The face / plane you selected will automatically be the Sketcher Plane.
If you create a 2D plane by using any of the plane creating functions and then immediately enter the Sketcher, the plane you just created will be the Sketcher Plane.
When defining the 2D Sketcher Plane, the plane is, by default, automatically displayed. A Preference option enables you to hide the 2D Sketcher Plane so that it is not displayed.

Add contours to the strip to define the edges of areas that will form the punches. Each enclosed areas you create can be defined in the next step as a punch.
